Kate along with her partners at the National Center for Mediation Education, Inc. offer training sessions for
those interested in the mediation profession or who need mediation knowledge as part of their career responsibilities.
The National Center for Mediation Education,Inc has been providing Quality Conflict Resolution Education for over 40 years!
Trainings are scheduled at different times during the year.
40-hour
Beginning/Basic Mediation Training
Registration is required
40-hour Family/Divorce Mediation Training (which includes 20-Hour
Parenting Plan and 20-Hour Property and Finance)
ALL trainings meet
the requirments as set forth by Rule 17 of the Maryland Alternative Dispute Resolution Code and are lead by professional mediators
and trainers with over 45 years of experience in the Conflict Resolution field.
Both the
Basic/Beginning Meidation Training and the Family/Divorce Mediation Trainings include a 2 hour presentation on Domestic Violence
and a 2 hour segment on Mediator Ethics as required by Rule 17.
Workshops
on the Complexity of Emotions in Divorce Mediation, The Court Process and Mediation, Domestic Violence and Why We Stay, and
Communication Skills are offered.
